On 2 April 2026, ENGAGE for ESG contributed to the European Commission Call for Evidence for an Impact Assessment for an Affordable Housing Act.
The ENGAGE Consortium focused, in particular, on Pillar I, Action 3; and Pillar II, Action 1 of the European Affordable Housing Plan, related to Combining affordability, sustainability and quality in housing; and Mobilising additional public and private investment, respectively.

To achieve the proposed 55% emission reduction climate target by 2030, around EUR 275 billion of additional investments are needed per year.
