On 3 December 2025, ENGAGE for ESG contributed to the European Commission Call for Evidence for an Initiative “EU Taxonomy – Review of Climate and Environmental Delegated Acts”.
The ENGAGE Consortium contributed to the Call for Evidence, in particular, with regards to the review of the Climate Delegated Act. In its response, the Consortium sets forth three key recommendations and shares a practical use case based on the experience of the ENGAGE pilot institution NN Bank.
The recommendations relate to:
1. The interaction of the Taxonomy Regulation and its Delegated Acts with the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the EPBD national implementation legislation.
2. The simplification of the Taxonomy criteria, both for the renovation of existing buildings and for the acquisition of new buildings.
3. The data availability and accessibility challenge.
